Challenge
Most people keep their money in two separate worlds. Traditional banking for everyday spending, and crypto exchanges for digital assets. Moving between them is clunky.
Spending crypto in the real world requires converting back to fiat first, which means fees, delays, and friction. BlendFi wanted to collapse that divide.
They needed a platform where someone could manage both fiat and crypto in one place, see their full financial picture at a glance, and spend their digital holdings as easily as swiping a credit card. The design challenge was making something this complex feel simple and trustworthy.
Solution
We designed BlendFi as a unified dashboard where traditional accounts and crypto wallets live side by side. The interface treats both as equal parts of your financial ecosystem.
You can see your checking account balance next to your Bitcoin holdings, your savings next to your tokenized assets. The crypto credit card was the centerpiece. We designed flows where users could load their card with crypto, set spending limits, and track transactions in real time.
The card converts crypto to fiat at the point of sale, so merchants never see the blockchain side. To the cashier, it looks like any other card. To the user, it feels like spending their digital money without the usual conversion dance.
Security was critical. We built in biometric authentication, multi-factor verification, and clear indicators showing when funds are secured on-chain versus held in custody. Every fee is shown upfront. No hidden percentages. No confusing jargon.
The design also included asset tokenization features powered by Orobit's blockchain infrastructure. Users can tokenize real-world assets, manage fractional ownership, and track performance alongside their other holdings. All within the same interface.
Outcome
The design work is complete and ready for development. BlendFi is currently in pre-launch, preparing to bring unified finance to users who want the flexibility of crypto without sacrificing the convenience of traditional banking.
The interface we built makes complex financial operations feel straightforward. Portfolio management across asset classes is visual and clear. Switching between fiat and crypto is seamless.
The credit card flows feel as simple as any banking app, even though the backend is wired into blockchain infrastructure. This project proved that Web3 finance doesn't have to feel foreign. When the design is right, users don't think about the technology. They just use it.
