Challenge

Create a new brand identity and push the brand's e-commerce into the modern era through online marketing and online shopping.

Suntrax had been in the watersports business for years, but their online presence wasn't keeping pace with how people actually buy gear now. Customers research online, compare specs, check prices, then decide whether to visit the shop or order directly. Their old site wasn't set up for that reality.

The product catalog was extensive: kites, boards, foils, wings, windsurfing gear, accessories from multiple premium brands like Naish, Ensis, Dakine, and SAB Foil. Organizing all of that in a way that made browsing intuitive was a core challenge. Nobody wants to dig through endless menus to find what they're looking for.

Solution

We built a dark, bold e-commerce site that matches the energy of the sport. Black backgrounds with orange and white accents. It feels premium without being stuffy. The homepage showcases featured products and new arrivals with large hero images that grab attention immediately.

The store is organized by category and brand, with smart filtering so customers can narrow down exactly what they need. Product pages include detailed specs, multiple images, and clear pricing. WooCommerce handles the backend, making inventory and order management straightforward for the Suntrax team.

We integrated video content throughout the site. Watersports sell better when you can see the gear in action. Product demos, lifestyle footage, and brand videos all have their place in the design. The site doesn't just list products. It shows what they can do.

Partner brand logos are displayed prominently. Naish, Dakine, Ensis, SAB Foil, Cabrinha. These brands carry weight with riders, and showing them upfront builds credibility for the store as an authorized dealer.

Outcome

The new site transformed how Suntrax does business. Online orders became a real revenue stream, not just an afterthought. Customers could browse the full catalog, check availability, and purchase without having to call or visit the shop.

Brand awareness grew as the site became more visible in search results and on social media. The professional design and clear product presentation helped establish Suntrax as a serious dealer in the Cape Town watersports scene.

The marketing funnel we built in also paid off. Email capture, newsletter integration, and remarketing capabilities meant Suntrax could stay in touch with interested buyers and bring them back when new gear dropped or sales launched. It wasn't just a store. It was a system for building customer relationships.
